06-148 Payroll Supervisor

GENERAL FUNCTION Responsible for the day-to-day payroll operations for operational division(s) of Luxottica Retail.  Supervising a processing staff to ensure the corporate and legal processing requirements are maintained.  Utilizes payroll, human resource and systems knowledge to effectively partner with the Financial Group, Human Resources and Store Operations to meet the needs of the business. Assist with tax and reporting functionality, G/L reconciliation?s, an expert in the payroll processing area to assist as needed and other misc. payroll research issues as needed.

 

TECHNICAL FUNCTION

1. Manage and Train Staff

2. Oversee Weekly Payroll Processing for 34,000+ associates
 Process/review all data processing steps of the payroll process to ensure accurate

and timely completion of payroll transactions.


Adhere to processing standard for compliance to corporate, legal and Sarbanes-

Oxley requirements and departmental controls.
Maintain strictest confidentiality of data.
Review and audit payroll data per company and legislative guidelines.
Write ad-hoc reports as needed to analyze payroll transactions.

 

3. Providing excellent customer service to our associates and other payroll customers.
Maintain a good working knowledge of the payroll process/company procedures

and taxation issue
Partner with IT/Records/Benefits and other departments within Luxottica Retail to resolve/improve payroll processing issues.

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

1-3 years accounting/payroll experience required

Payroll processing experience required

PeopleSoft experience preferred

Fundamental MS Excel, Word and Oracle skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills

 

EDUCATION

BS in Business preferred or equivalent experience
