This rapidly growing company is seeking an experienced G/L Accountant. This person is a highly motivated professional seeking a progressive accounting career in a fast-paced, rapidly changing company. You are skilled at analyzing accounting processes and systems that lead to improved operating results. Your functional accounting responsibilities include complex financial statement & general ledger accounts, operating expense analysis and inter-company transactions. You have an understanding of transactional processes including accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, payroll, and related systems.

 

Core Duties/Responsibilities:

 Execute monthly close accounting for several general ledger functions including recording closing entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Perform monthly reporting and analysis for the business units which you support. Serve as a subject matter expert for Oracle general ledger processes. Maintain accounting principles, practices & procedures to ensure FASB, GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance Perform accounting research and implementation of new standards, as required. Act as liaison between finance and the business units that you support. Proactively identify and implement process improvements, leveraging technology to its potential. Contribute to audit preparation by providing requested documentation and analysis. Participate in the financial integration and accounting for acquisition targets. Special projects and opportunities, as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Experience:

 Bachelor?s degree in accounting. 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience. CPA with public accounting experience preferred Strong foundation in general accounting, monthly close, financial reporting and GAAP concepts. Ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with all levels of the organization. Ability to work well in a team environment and independently. Experienced problem solver and excellent attention to detail. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with competing priorities. Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. Working knowledge of Oracle financial system preferred.
