Fast paced, well-established company located in the central part of Dallas is searching for a Controller and an Assistant Controller with rapid promotion and advancement opportunity.  The company has revenues in excess of $484 million and currently owns 45+ operating companies throughout the United States and Europe.

TWO POSITIONS:  SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (45K to 65K base) / ASSISTANT CONTROLLER (55K to 75K base)

 

Note: Stock option package is also included.

 

Responsibilities include the day to day accounting and analysis for 40 - 45 operating companies (very little travel ? about 5%) including complete general ledger accountability, cost of services, financial statements, budget, planning and financial analysis.  This position will also interact with several operating company Presidents regarding special projects (explaining financial results, budgeting, etc.)

The successful candidate will possess a mix of public accounting and corporate experience (6-11 years at a minimum) and supervisory skills with a large accounting staff. Excellent communication skills are a must. GPA greater or equal to 3.0 is required. CPA and / or MBA status is a plus, ERP Software exposure is a plus.

Qualifications include:


To be eligible for consideration you must have a 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance and 6 - 11 years progressively more responsibility in accounting/finance experience. Must have strong analytical skills. Supervisory experience is a must. Computer skills should include Microsoft Office products knowledge, with heavy Excel experience (Excel and Access knowledge of queries).  Must be a proficient, innovative and multi-tasked accounting professional who is able to perform in a fast-paced environment.  Strong working knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles and SEC Reporting is a MUST. Must have strong problem-solving and people skills and possess the potential to be promoted to Divisional CFO. Needs to be career-minded, flexible, team oriented, and multi-tasked.
