ACCOUNTANT

 

We are a large services and distribution company operating in the Southwestern, US and have an opportunity for a sharp accountant in our home office in Houston, Texas.  Candidates should have a Bachelor?s degree in Accounting and 1-2 years of accounting experience.  The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining computerized accounting records, preparing journal entries, reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts, processing sales and accounts receivable records, generating and distributing system reports, building and maintaining spreadsheets, training field personnel to properly submit weekly accounting information, assisting with accounts payable and payroll as needed, and other accounting functions as directed by the CFO.  Candidate must be proficient with standard office and accounting software, be able to think analytically, and possess excellent communication skills.
