We?re part of a Fortune 500 organization and the second largest solid waste services company in the US.  We?re looking for a talented Accountant to join our team in Salt Lake City. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented with high integrity and strong interpersonal skills that is well organized, and focused on adding value to the company. 

 

POSITION SUMMARY: Prepares bills to customers based on pricing in service contract, tracks payments and maintains creditor files.



 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Monitors and administers all assigned accounts. Prepares monthly billing adjustments based upon account information.Researches, identifies and resolves any billing problems by contacting the customer, customer service, or corporate office, or other appropriate departments to determine the source of the problem and makes any journal correcting entries necessary to maintain a correct balance in the accounting system.Prepares various reports including daily and monthly revenue reports.Posts and files invoices to maintain current balances on the accounting system.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.



 

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION Required:

 High school diploma or general education degree required.Eighteen months related experience required.

 

An equivalent combination of education, experience and certification may be considered.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:Basic understanding of accounting procedures.Good written and oral communication skills.Strong customer service skills.
