**A/P Manager - Global company, great location!**

Tired of working more than 60 hours a week?  Looking for work life balance?  Want a better commute or no commute at all?  Look no further!!  Our client, a global leader in interior design with more than 2,000 employees worldwide, is in need of a key Accounts Payable Manager to join their beautiful San Francisco office!  Many of their clients are Fortune 100 companies! 

Major Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the US and International Accounts Payable and Employee Expense operations for the firm.  Responsible for setting annual goals and strategic direction of the AP function. Review current system configurations, workflows and processes; work with accounting staff to implement process improvements in line with industry best practices and strong internal controls. Team with Procurement Manager to streamline the procurement to pay cycle.  Work together in the establishment, maintenance, payment and reporting of Global/National Vendors.  Track vendor spends and provide periodic reports.  Create and maintain AP reporting metrics with a view to increasing efficiencies and a continual improvement of the firm's DUNS rating. Update & maintain the policy & procedures manual for AP and employee expenses. Reconcile and process weekly check runs for the firm, including daily rush/manual checks. Develop, maintain & present training materials for companywide AP and employee expense. Develop key relations with the Bank, Employees and Vendors to increase the level of electronic payments. Manage the maintenance of vendor set-up, Global Vendors, minority status and other 1099 information. Evaluate file storage options (Imaging, etc) for Accounts Payable invoices and Employee Expenses.  Make recommendations and lead implementation across the firm. Develop understanding of our accounting software so that you are seen as an expert and resource to regional staff. Cross-train and work closely with other team members so that we function as a cohesive and high performing team. Set-up and maintain appropriate tax codes to ensure that sales/use and property tax information is tracked efficiently within the accounting system

 Experience Required:

Strong accounting background (CPA & industry experience preferred) and demonstrable knowledge of processes, controls and analysis with at least 5 yrs experience

At least 2 years experience managing the full cycle of Accounts Payable and Employee Expenses

International experience preferred
