The Cash Application Specialist (CAS) supports the entire Credit & Collections department by timely and accurately posting all customer payments, generating credit memos, processing write offs, and facilitating any other ledger transactions. Additionally, the CAS provides an important roll within the control and auditing environment by ensuring all ledger movements and requests are processed per established authorization levels and guidelines. The CAS applicant needs to be a detailed oriented person with excellent organizational skills.

Job Responsibilities
* Allocate payments against receivables in timely manner.
* Generate credit memos, chargebacks, process write offs, and perform any other ledger movements in timely manner.
* Provide internal controls regarding cash allocation, credit generation, write offs, and any other ledger transactions for audit purposes.
* Follow all audit and financial controls.
* Work with CCA and Deduction Management personnel to coordinate cash application processes with the needs of the other departments.
* Balance all cash batches, provide support for all miscellaneous cash application related issues.

Requirements
* Knowledge of basic accounting and auditing controls.
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Knowledge of internet and email protocols.
* Ability to participate in small teams to accomplish specific tasks.
* Ability to speak and write effectively with clients, customers, and other employees.
* Ability to analyze data and recommend solutions.
* Knowledge of Outlook and Word programs.

Education and Experience
* 2+ Years of Cash Application experience.
* Min. 2 yrs college/AA degree.
* Previous industry training in cash application.
