A/R Clerk

To continue driving business forward, our client is in search of  several experienced, top-tier A/R Clerkto join their team.

 

To conduct collection activities for accounts within assigned portfolio. Commercial Industry.

 

Essential Functions:
Perform outgoing collection calls on assigned portfolio of accounts.
Code activity and document conversations for all collection activity.
Monitor/coordinate invoice backup documentation and/or error correction data is received in a timely fashion by working within standard operating procedures established for the portfolio.
Identify potential problems with invoicing or cash application.
Resolve service issues that impede payment.
Proactively identifies, analyzes and makes recommendations on unmet customer needs.
Arranges payment schedules in accordance to specific client policy.
Complete or assist with special projects as required.

 

Knowledge:
Experience with accounts receivable and collection functions.
Understanding of billing and cash applications and how they impact collection activities.
Experience with operational systems associated with billing, cash application, payment research and collections.
Understanding of cash application and allocation procedures, research techniques, reconciliation and administrative procedures.
Modern office procedures, methods and computer equipment.

 

Skills:
Good organization and communication skills ? both written and verbal.
Strong customer service skills.
Good interpersonal skills.

 

Abilities:
Ability to perform a high volume of collection calls for long periods of time.
Conduct calls with extreme sensitivity, care and diplomacy to prevent tense and uncomfortable situations.
Interact with debtors to collect delinquent amounts without causing hostility.
Ability to keep focus and not be easily distracted.
Ability to influence others while maintaining a working relationship.Requirements
Must have minimum of 2 years full-cycle accounts receivable experience.
Must have Strong MS Office suite experience and data entry
Must be able to handle incoming and outgoing collection calls in a commercial environment.
