ACCOUNTING ANALYST

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for an Accounting Analyst at our Corporate Headquarters located in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

* Perform contract administration, revenue accounting, and cost accounting from the U.S. for the tonnage business in Asia.
* Interact with business area, decision support, other departments within Global Accounting Services, customers, and plant personnel, in both the U.S. and Asia.
* Meet monthly close requirements and ensure accounting practices comply with GAAP and company specific policies.
* Drive for sharing best practices and process improvements within the Contract Accounting department.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent controllership competencies.
* One to three years minimum experience.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
* Willing to work a modified work schedule coinciding with Asia hours during critical work periods.
* Occasional travel to Southeast Asia approximately twice annually but may be more frequent during the initial set up of the role.
* A candidate that possesses Chinese (Mandarin) language skills would be preferred.
* SAP experience is a plus.
* Computer skills to include Excel and Word.
* Emphasis on Process and Customer focus.
