ACCOUNTING MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY

 

In this role, you will coordinate and assist the Controller in reviewing all accounting functions to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of all transactions.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

Manage the Headquarters accounting staff and coordinate the accounting department information and the administrative assistants at our six out state locations.  Assist Controller with development of metrics for all accounting personnel, timely filing of all taxes and licenses, and in preparation and review of monthly and quarterly balance sheet and profit and loss comparative statements.

 

Other responsibilities include:

 Daily entries and audit of information from Cash, Sales, Trade-Payables, Non-Trade Payables, TRW and Payroll into the Monthly Cash Flows.Reconciling Monthly Cash Flow statements to Bank Statements, prepaid insurance schedules and endorsements with the General Ledger.

?  Insurance reporting schedules for all affiliates and outside locations. 

?  Entry of all Fixed Assets into BNA fixed asset system and the monthly reconciliation with the General Ledger.

?  Prepares, verifies, and controls the general ledger.Monthly closing and production of financial statements on a timely basis.

?  Subsidiary Schedules:  Review supporting schedules to ensure the Company's accounting practices are being maintained, i.e., insurance, fixed assets, amortization of prepaid; make recommendations where applicable.Reviews accounts payable ageing and vendor statements for problems.

?  Helps review, redesign, and enhance the financial statements to ensure that the information reported properly reflects the company's financial position.Reviews all documents, present accounting practices and procedures.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

?  Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting.  CPA desired.

?  A minimum of seven to ten years of experience.

?  Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures on manual and automated systems.

 

 

Strong supervisory skills and ability to recruit, train and motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth.  Must have strong analytical and reasoning abilities, be well organized and have well developed interpersonal skills.
