The Accounts Payable Manager is primarily responsible for accounting operations and reporting of 3 departments and the supervision, training and support of the staff within these areas. These departments handle the daily processing of transactions, including all corporate expenses and payment of all vendor bills, as wells as Monthly and quarterly closes. They also work closely with the AP Research department to assist their receiving, investigating, and resolution of disputes and inquiries on vendor accounts. Manager must maintain a high level of confidentiality over information, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work with cross-functional teams on day-to-day activities and key company initiatives. In addition, it is anticipated that the Accounts Payable Manager will have significant involvement in the implementation of new financial systems.
The qualified candidate would possess:Bachelor degree or equivalent business experience required. Minimum 5 years related Accounting experience. Minimum of 2 years of Supervisory/Managerial experience with demonstrated success with progressive responsibilities. Knowledge of AP workflow and systems, billing procedures. Excellent problem solving, and analytical skills; excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to resolve sensitive issues in a professional manner; ability to train others, allocate work and develop work schedules. Experience with PeopleSoft A/P, Microsoft office, Excel and Word. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
