APM Invoice Specialist

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of merchandise invoices and chargebacks. 

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Process merchandise invoices by identifying receiving discrepancies, unit cost differences and other miscellaneous charges.  Create Excel worksheets to identify details of cost differences and unit shortages. Prepare vendor chargeback forms supported by proper documents and approvals. Research and resolve disputed shortage and cost difference chargebacks. Determine validity of shortage disputes based on receiving activity and adjustments. Obtain buyer approval for cost difference chargebacks.  Prepare credit memos to reimburse when appropriate. Communicate receiving issues with the DC, Merchandising, and Traffic personnel. Relay special payment arrangements negotiated by buyers to the DC to expedite processing. Monitor the match exception report to remain current with assigned invoices. Review the check register to confirm the proper processing and distribution of checks including the special mailing of sensitive vendor payments Prepare express check and wire payment requests.  Complete processing of all related documents. Reclassify prepayment and temporary account codes on a timely basis.  Prepare correcting entries for any coding errors. Complete daily production log.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:2 years related accounts payable background General knowledge of accounts payable applications Working knowledge of  Excel
