Established in 1936, and based in the Fashion District in New York City, M&J is favorite shopping destination for top fashion designers, costume makers and interior designers. Samuel & Sons, the interior design division, is featured in showrooms across the country and is headquartered next door to the D&D building in New York. Over the past few years, the company has been expanding its management team, and is looking for strong leaders to fill those roles.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with the daily functions of the Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable departmentCode and review all freight bill from common carriers.Assist the Accounting Department with UPS shipment billing for inbound and outbound, and code UPS Customhouse Invoices.General office duties that?include frequent filing, answering phones, etc.Acts as a backup to the receptionist?for lunch relief and absences.Special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTSHighly organized, fast learner, excellent work ethicAble to participate effectively within a team environmentSolid communication skills, both written and verbal with experience answering the phonesThe ability to multi-task in and work in a busy, fast paced environmentComputer literacy, including Microsoft Office Applications, with a strong knowledge in ExcelExcellent command of the English languageAssociates degree or 3-5 years relevant experience
