Accountant - Construction Industry - Permanent Hire, Los Alamitos, CA

Parker and Lynch is seeking a construction accountant for a direct-hire/permanent position in Los Alamitos, CA (Katella Ave & Los Alamitos Blvd). This is a position with a diversified contractor who has completed 62 major office commercial buildings and over 19.1 million square feet of concrete tilt-up industrial facilities since 1980. In addition our client has built over 3.7 million square feet of shopping centers and retail stores. Their expertise also includes work on 46 hospital campuses and the construction of forty-five medical office buildings.

 

The qualified candidate will have two plus years in the preparation of owner billings using AIA forms (Huge Plus), reconciling of job costs, reviewing, coding, and inputting subcontractor invoices, billings and vouchering payments, updating labor and cost reports weekly and monthly, insurance requirements for subcontractors, preliminary notices, and lien releases, large excel spreadsheets and workbooks, and timberline construction software experience is a definite plus.

 

Project accountants will work directly with our project management and with the owners and Architect?s representatives. It is necessary that this candidate be organized, quick thinking, team players, and possess good written and verbal communications skills.
