BS in Accounting or Finance (similar).?Associates Degree?in Accounting or Finance. Candidate must have?at least 24 credit hours in Accounting.

Exceptional MS Office skills : MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Powerpoint, MS Access.

Required: Direct work experience?working with an automated accounting system, General Ledger Accounts, Funding accounting, document analysis, Budget Accounts, Prior Year accounts, Reconciliation, Accruals, Cost accounting,? Research/ documenting Corrective Action Plans for accounting transactions with supportive documentation, Trend Analysis, Variance Tabulation,?and financial reporting.

A plus? - direct experience?in Government Systems Accounting, Fiscal Services, Accounting Operations with the Federal Financial System (FFS or Momentum).?


Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.



Duties:

Eliminations, General ledger Reconciliation. Accounting Research and Analysis.



* Documents financial transactions by entering account information.



* Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.



* Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.



* Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures if and when applicable.

* Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.



* Maintains financial security by following internal controls.



* Complies with federal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.



* Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.



* Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.





* Accomplishes the result by performing the duty.



* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.



Skills/Qualifications:

Accounting, Federal Government Accounting or Finance experience a plus, General Ledger Accounting, Financial Report Building Skills, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Reporting Research Results, Confidentiality, Time Management. BS in Accounting or Finance (similar).



MS Office - required - MS Office?(Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint) Crystal Reports (or a type of reports query/development software application).
