POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

POSITION TITLE :    Accountant IDEPARTMENT : Finance

 

REPORTS TO :  Controller HOURS :  37.5

       REVIEW TYPE :  *  6 Month T Annual FLSA:  *  Non-Exempt T  Exempt SALARY GRADE: 12

Overview:  Provide assistance to the Controller in Financial Planning and Operational Analysis,

and is responsible for assisting the Controller in assimilating NHPRI?s entire financial picture and

representing an integrated view in discussions with the Director of Financial Services, Senior

Leadership team and external partners to meet the Mission, Vision, and Values of NHPRI.

 

Qualifications:  

?  Minimum 3-5 years

?  Bachelor degree in accounting preferable

?  General accounting knowledge for other projects as assigned

?  Spreadsheet Knowledge (Excel preferred)

?  Independent work style

?  Flexibility, Team Player

 Duties and

Responsibilities: 

?  Supervise staff of various functional areas

?  Concentration in General Ledger and Budget Developing/Monitoring 

?  Variety of other Accounting Cycle duties to promote segregation of duties

?  Prepare journal entries and assist in month end close of financial statements

?  Develop operational reports to provide management with key performance indicators

?  Assist in development/implementation of Accounting Policies and Procedures

?  Maintain internal controls and safeguard confidential information

?  Perform other accounting duties as required
