ACCOUNTING MANAGER

 

 

Southern Marin County-based investment advisor has an immediate opening for an ACCOUNTING MANAGER.  Needed is an organized, detail oriented person who can work independently. Must be proficient in Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.  At least 5 years relevant experience required.  Compensation DOE.

Our company is 12 years old and is privately owned and operated. We have a small town feel with a very professional upscale attitude.

JOB REQUIREMENTS  Strong organizational and administrative skills Strong customer service and interpersonal skills  Proven quantitative skills  Proven competence with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel and  Access  Advent Axys experience a plus  Experience with handling sensitive and confidential information

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  ACCOUNTING

?  Maintain corporate accounting using QuickBooks

?  Maintain trust portfolio and partnership accounting using Axys

?  Coordinate client cash management

?  Reconcile corporate, trust and partnership accounts

?  Internal fee billing

 

ASSIST CFO

?  Assist in preparing quarterly financial statements and annual budget

?  Support completion of annual audits and securities filings

?  Prepare various Securities reports-Quarterly

?  Coordinate tax payments and form 1099s

?  Process tax returns (coordinate with accountant, make copies, file upkeep)

 

PREPARE DOCUMENTATION

?  Set up and terminate investment partnerships

?  File State and Federal forms

?  Coordinate opening accounts and/or transfer of funds

?  Create and coordinate documentation to and from investors

?  Create, maintain and coordinate client and investment partnership documentation

?  Create, update and maintain standard company documents and agreements
