Accountant - Real Estate Developer

Our client, one of the largest real estate developers in South Florida, is looking to hire a Project Accountant.  This person will report to the Project Controller and will be responsible for the following duties pertaining to their assigned projects:

 

? preparation of monthly bank draws;

? A/P functions;

? processing change orders and budget transfers;

? maintaining job costing and preparation of monthly AIA billings;

? maintaining budgets for construction in conjunction with project managers;

? reconciling and maintaining all monthly G/L accounts;

? preparation of monthly financial reports including financial statements, related work papers and budget variances.

 

The successful candidate will possess:

 

? minimum of two years experience in full cycle accounting (construction-related accounting experience preferred);

? advanced Excel skills, with strong proficiency in Word and Outlook and familiarity with Accounting software programs (Solomon experience preferred);

? strong interpersonal and organizational skills;

? excellent written and verbal communication skills;

? ability to successfully multi-task.
