Accountant / Senior Accountant

The Accountant/Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accounting records for individual U.S. and non-U.S. investment clients and/or fund accounts managed by The Capital Group. Primary responsibilities can include reconciling cash activity between The Capital Group's and custodian bank's records on a daily basis and share position and price on a monthly basis, support the trade securities function through daily cash projections and share availability checks, close monthly activity through validation of accounting records and review of client statements, research and resolve past due income and expense, prepare various client requests, analyze the account's Net Asset Value for fund accounts, prepare annual audited financial statements for fund accounts.

Qualifications
- Four-year degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to understand and resolve complex issues based on the application of previous experience and use of appropriate judgment
- Receptivity to feedback and guidance
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to critically assess and challenge the process
- 10-key skills and is detail and numbers oriented
- Knowledge and experience related to investment management accounting and/or audit experience related to investment management accounting is desired
- CPA certification is a plus
