Accountant to $50k+ - Distribution

Job Description: KEY RESPONSIBILITES AREAS: 1) Accounting Analysis & Review: Maintains and analyzes general ledger information in regards to standard transactions relating to sales and purchases, volume discounts, inventory, etc. Assists in Account reviews and reports on account receivable, inventory, inter-company and other major accounts for valuation and variances.

2) Financial Reporting: Prepares divisional financial reports including variance analysis. Analyzes divisional operating and financial results and key balance sheet accounts. Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities and prepares balance sheet, income statement, cashflow and other reports. Prepares and explains variance analysis from budget and re-forecasting.

3) Accounting policies & procedures: Provide guidance and direction on standard transactions relating to interpretation of generally accepted accounting principles. Ensures the financial controls are adhered to and procedures are followed.

4) Audit: Coordinates work with annual external audit and other third-party audits.

5) Performs other duties as assigned.

Staff Accountant -
Candidate should have about 3- 5 years of relevant experience and a Graduate degree in Accounting/Finance. Strong technical, interpersonal, communication and analytical skills are required. Experience in distribution and/ or retail is preferred.
