Accountant to $70k+ -

Job Description: This position is responsible for preparing income tax returns, provisions and reserves as well as providing support with handling overall tax compliance and tax examinations. Additionally this position will maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, perform period-end closing and prepare financial statements and reporting packages.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, compiling and analyzing financial information of assigned general ledger accounts, including preparation of period closing analysis reports, related period end journal entries, and periodic reports necessary for external reporting. This will include income tax filings and financial statement footnote support. This candidate will assist in annual and interim audits performed by external auditors, participate in preparation and analysis of expense budgets, tactical and strategic plans. Complete special projects as assigned.

Candidates for this position must have a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or University with a minimum of five years experience in financial accounting/public accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Will work on preparing and supplying information for State and Federal Income tax only.

Experience with 109 statements.

Knows FASB.
