Accounts Payable Coordinator
Summary: Reviews and processes for payment invoices, statements, vouchers, garnishments, and/or other check requests, as appropriate, for Sam Moore, Incorporated. Draws, verifies, and posts payment checks, and prepares any necessary ledger entries; handles the resolution of account discrepancies and procedural inquiries.
Job Requirements:
? High school diploma or GED
? Minimum of 6 months of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
? Knowledge of standard accounts payable policies, procedures, and regulations.
? Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports.
? Ability to understand and utilize an automated accounting system.
? Ability to understand and interpret vendor invoices, statements, and other requests for payment.
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
? Basic data entry and/or word processing skills.
? Knowledge of mathematics.
? Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Cost Accountant
Summary: Provide management critical information used in decision making related to verification and validation of information relative to products costs, margins, inventory levels and company performance indicators. Supports processes for budgeting, forecasting, operational and financial reporting.
Job Requirements:
? Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA, CMA or CPA all considered a plus.
? 5+ years cost accounting/analysis experience in manufacturing environment.
? Knowledge of and experience in cost accounting process in an ERP system environment.
? Knowledge of inventory transactions, physical count process, and variance analysis
? Knowledge of general ledger, payroll and cost control.
? Ability to prepare financial reports.
? Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and financial management principles and procedures.
? Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
? Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications.
? Knowledge of software to quantify and illustrate complex financial reports, comparisons, impacts, and/or projections.
? Records maintenance skills.
? Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
? Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
? Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources.
? Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
? Knowledge of business practices and procedures.
? Knowledge of public and internal auditing policies, standards, and procedures.
General Ledger Accountant
Summary: Performs accounting functions such as ledger maintenance, cost analysis, account reconciliation, posting, and fiscal control of accounts. Prepares financial reports from financial data. Investigates and resolves problems related to accounts, budgets and forecast. Provides assistance in the development, implementation, and management of fiscal systems and procedures, applying basic concepts, methods, and techniques. Position requires: a) preparing financial reports, statements, and projections using standard and fund accounting principles, methods and applications on an automated accounting system or spreadsheets; b) reconciling, balancing and maintaining standard accounting records, and c) Preparing and monitoring budgets using finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control procedures.

? Account balancing and reconciling skills.
? Knowledge of standard and/or fund accounting principles, methods, and applications.
? Ability to set up and maintain financial accounts and ledgers.
? Working knowledge of MS Excel spreadsheet software to quantify and illustrate routine financial reports, statements, and/or projections.
? Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
