Accounting Analyst

CarMax's Division Accounting Overhead department has an immediate opening for an Overhead Analyst. This position offers many unique opportunities, including the chance to work with many different areas of the company and with CarMax Executives regarding their Overhead P&L?s and budgets.

 

This is a great position for a motivated and flexible self-starter who is seeking a progressive and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and time-management skills, and have exhibited outstanding attention to detail and analytical skills. A four-year Accounting degree is preferred.

 

Position responsibilities include:

? Monthly analysis of Overhead P&L performance and month-end close procedures.

? Analysis and reporting for Relocation.

? Overhead Accounting liaison for CarMax company management.

? Reporting of monthly summarized financial results to upper management.

? Participation in the development of accounting systems and procedures.

? Contact for OH budgets.

? Coordination of the budget process for Overhead departments.

? Creation of the budget for Store OH, Corporate OH and Relocation.

? Training and support to Overhead users on the Analytical Budgeting System.

? Preparation of schedules for budget presentation to company management.
