Accounting Assistant - Accounts Receivable

Job Requirements:
A combination of formal education, training, and experience to gain knowledge, skills, and abilities generally equivalent to those possessed by a high school graduate. Demonstrated ability to work under tight time frames and the ability to meet deadlines. Candidate must have demonstrated ability to prioritize, and work in a production environment. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Candidate must have demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, use good judgement, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Candidate should be able to work in a repetitive environment without a reduction in the quality of work. Ability to pay attention to detail. Banking experience in a check processing environment is a plus.  Must be able to work early AM shift, 4 am to 1 pm.

 

Preferences:
10 key and CSS experience.

 

Typical Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will open mail using high power equipment. Organize customer payments and prepare documents for processing. Work with CSS and provide support in the preparation phase for the daily banking. Will be required to work a flexible schedule and provide support in all areas that are related to customer payments. Routine duties include opening mail, pulling staples, correcting customer account information, operating transport sorting equipment and mail opening equipment.
