Accounting Assistant,Credit and Collection, A/R & A/P

Job Purpose:

Uses accounting skills in recording and tracking accounts receivable and retainage. Uses accounting skills in recording, paying and tracking accounts payable.Uses diligence in monitoring and collecting accounts for this construction contracting company.



Duties:

* Assist controller with analysis, spread sheets, bank reconciliations etc.

 

* Prevents losses by monitoring customer account balances;collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information; notifying management of necessary actions.

 

* Controls receivable balances by constant phone contact with customers and owners.

 

* Collects delinquent accounts by locating and contacting customers; establishing repayment terms and schedules.



* Obtain approval for vendor invoices, reconcile with purchase orders, verify accuracy of invoices, record in accounting records, schedule and make payments with approval of controller.

 

* Maintain inventory pricing records.
 

* Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
