Accounting Assistant Manager

**Currently excepting resume from (local Hawaii candidates) only please, sorry but all other resumes will not be accepted. PRIMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.  Performs accounting of business transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principals to meet company and regulatory requirements.

2.  Maintains general ledgers, subsidiary ledgers and supporting documentation.

3.  Performs reconciliations of ledgers and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy of the accounting information.

4.  Responsible for journal entries and adjusting journal entries to general and subsidiary ledgers for propriety of accounting.

5.  Oversees accounting information and has complete responsibility to detect and resolve any discrepancies and irregularities.

6.  Exercise reasonable and sound judgment in the accounting treatment of all business transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principals.

7.  Responsible for analyzing and verifying the propriety of financial statements, consolidation schedules and other financial reports for completeness and accuracy.

8.  Performs analyses to ensure reasonableness of accounting estimates, including revenue and cost estimates, monthly expense accruals, accounts receivable aging and allowances for doubtful accounts, income tax provisions, and other accounting estimates and provisions.

9.  Responsible for timeliness of cash and check disbursements, cash and check receipts and deposits, and overall safeguards and internal controls over handling of cash.

10.  Keep abreast of accounting, tax and regulatory requirements, and disseminates pertinent information to management and staff.

11.  Responsible for the maintenance of the computerized accounting system, and troubleshoots when necessary.

12.  Assists the Controller with establishing and enforcing internal accounting control procedures to ensure completeness and accuracy, proper authorization of transactions, proper segregation of duties, and the detection of any discrepancies and irregularities.

13.  Assists auditors (internal and external) in their review, including preparation of audit schedules, analyses, and response to inquiries.

14.  Accountable for the safekeeping and retention of accounting records and files in accordance with tax regulatory requirements.

15.  Plans, delegates, supervise, coordinates, and follows up on work assignment to the accounting staff; determines work procedures, prepares and adjusts work schedule, and expedites work flow to meet deadlines.

 QUALIFICATIONS

Working knowledge of GAAP

5-years accounting experience in a supervisory capacity, dealing in all phase of accounting.

 EDUCATION

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
