As an Accounting Assistant you are responsible for accounts payable processing and assisting with other accounting tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures and performing receptionist functions in a professional manner. As an Accounting Assistant you will be expected to perform the following functions:
Process AP, including: receive invoices, code, obtain proper approval and enter into accounting system
Maintain vendor relationships, distribute checks, maintain filing system
Monitor land bank and JV payments to maximize cash flow Assist with cash receipts, JEs and miscellaneous accounting
Answer telephone, manage all mail, maintain appearance of reception and break room

Must possess Associate degree in pursuit of Bachelors in Accounting
Must have strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, independent team player, and strong communication skills Requires the ability to work in excess of eight hours per day in the confined quarters of an office and/or the field environment
equires the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach
Finger dexterity required in operating a computer keyboard and calculator
Office work requires sitting at a computer monitor for extended periods of time, completing paperwork, and to receive/return phone messages.
