Accounting Bookkeeper/Financial Associate

  The purpose of the department is to conduct financial planning, analysis, and reporting for Allstate Financial.  The scope of this job is being a  member of the reporting and support team within Allstate Financial.  Performs moderate activities related to the maintenance of accounting/financial records and the preparation of financial/technical reports.  The position is located in Northbrook, Illinois.

 

The individual will be responsible for:

 

1. Collecting and organizing complex data for analysis under limited supervision.  Consolidating data from muliple sources for reporting.  Verifying and reconciling data for accuracy and completeness.

2. Reviewing and monitoring information to comply with internal and external due dates.

3. Documenting processes and procedures.

4. Handling inquiries for ad hoc data requests, including project requests.

5. Basic problem solving and analytical skills.  Understanding basic Accounting/Math principles.  Communicating information clearly.

1. Intermediate - Data Compilation and Reporting

2. Beginner - Analytical

3. Intermediate - Communication

4. Intermediate - Teamwork

 

Experience Required:

-2 or more years experience compiling data, working with spreadsheets, and performing basic analysis.

 

Computer Proficiency:

-Intermediate MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access)

 

Education:

-High School or Equivalent - Preferred, Major preference:
