Accounting Clerk (A/P)

The Opportunity : As an Accounting Clerk , you'll apply your A/P background, problem solving and research skills, and aptitude for numbers to oversee the tasks and activities associated with supplier invoices.  You will act as a liaison on supplier invoice issues with Corporate, District, Branch and/or supplier which includes, but is not limited to: handling supplier calls and inquiries; verifying cash discounts; corresponding w/suppliers and Branches as needed; working w/the Branches to reconcile discrepancies w/suppliers; handling duplicate invoices; reconciling statements w/invoices; completing Quarterly Open Items Report; filing, etc.

Hours:  7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday; or 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Requirements:

High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience required along with one year of related accounting experience.  A general A/P background preferred.  The ideal candidate must be detail oriented and possess the following:  problem solving ability; a knack for research; an aptitude for numbers; the ability to effectively communicate (both orally and in writing); and strong organizational skills.  In addition, you must possess a working knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail, etc.); experience w/SAP is a plus.
