Accounting Clerk - Affiliated / Cost Accounting

POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

Position is responsible for input of information into the Manufacturing Account Distribution and Manufacturing Reporting systems.  Frequent contact with Kroger manufacturing plants, other CALM departments and Kroger retail divisions will be necessary.  Areas of responsibility will include:

 

? Process Affiliated accounts payable and accounts receivable

? Balance and reconcile accounts

? Research and correct affiliated transactions as needed to ensure proper accounting

? Weekly and period-end Cost Balancing

?  Other miscellaneous functions

 

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

? Accounting and data entry skills.

? Organized individual who is able to handle multiple tasks at one time.

? Ability to accomplish tasks under time constraints with accuracy and efficiency.

? A self-motivated individual who is detail oriented.

? Familiarity with Kroger mainframe systems and PC based word processing and spreadsheet applications.
