Accounting Manager:

 

Our client, a growing Intellectual Property law firm based in downtown Boston, is seeking a take-charge individual capable of running the day-to-day accounting and billing operations.  Responsibilities will also include limited office management duties. The ideal candidate requirements are:

 4 Year accounting degree

 Computer literate; proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

 Prior experience with time and billing within a law firm

 Prior law firm accounting experience

 Organization skills

 Excellent communication skills

 Team player

 Juris Time & Billing and Accounting software experience a plus!

 

 

Duties and responsibilities include:

 Maintain time and billing system, including coordinating the monthly billing process

 Maintain general ledger including reconciling of general ledger accounts

 Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers

 Process payables, cash receipts, bank deposits, and reconcile cash balances

 Enter and review bi-weekly payroll using third-party provider software

 Process PTO account transactions

 Prepare monthly internal financial reports

 Prepare ad hoc management reports

 Interaction with Managing Partner and attorneys

 



Salary - $60,000 to $70,000
