Accounting Manager^South Bay

Responsibilities:
- Manage 2-3 GL senior accountants and specific GL accounts and process
- Strong General Ledger month-end close experience, in a large public company environment
- Review monthly journal entries, account analysis and explain month end, quarterly, and year end variances
- Assist with monthly financial reporting packages
- Assist with preparation of quarterly and year end audit PBC schedules
- Ensure timely and accurate financial data
- Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy required
- Work independently and be able to analyze, investigate and resolve accounting related issues with internal and external contacts
- Create and improve financial processes and built strong partners with business units managers
- Assist with special projects, as needed
- Ability to collaborate cross functionally on complex issues driving to timely resolutions
- Ability to work independently with business partners on Merger integration issue
- Review key controls and control sets to ensure SOX compliance within the General Accounting area

Requirements:
Requirements:
- Min 8 years working experience; 3-4 years hands on industry GL Accounting Manager experience is required; and 2-5+ years of Big-4 CPA audit experience a plus.
- BS in Accounting with a concentration in Accounting, strong working knowledge of GAAP and their application.
- Ability to develop good rapport with peers, management, and individuals outside of the accounting department (International Accounting, Treasury, Tax, HR)
- Organized, proactive, and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, capable of handling multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated strengths in leadership, project management, and teambuilding
- Resourceful, action-orientation with the ability to get things done and overcome obstacles
in identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing the appropriate process modifications
- Experience in SOX 404 compliance required in the General Accounting area
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive presence.
- Oracle 11i experience a plus
- Prior experience working with external auditors from a Big 4 accounting firmAbout Hudson Financial Solutions
