Accounting Manager for Financial Service Firm

An International Financial Service Company is seeking an accounting manager to join their growing firm.  The firm allows its customers to trade securities, commodities, and foreign exchange in most major currencies in 16 countries around the world.  This position is a key role in the financial accounting and controls for the retail broker dealers. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

?  Manage the daily activity of the accounting staff.

?  Preparation of financial reporting.

?  Handle monthly and yearly close.

?  Bank reconciliations.

?  Review the integrity of the accounts payable and accounts receivable.

?  Preparation and review of intercompany statements of account.

?  Document and implement controls and procedures.

?  Respond to request from regulators and external auditors.

?  Handle the standard fixed asset accounting.

?  Maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

?  Evaluate current procedures and design and implement changes in order to streamline operations, while ensuring sufficient checks and balances.

 

Requirements:

 

?  Bachelor?s in accounting.

?  Management experiences a plus, but not required.

?  CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

?  Public accounting or audit experience highly desirable.

?  Extremely organized. 

?  Analytical thinker with experience in complex environments.

?  Experience in the preparation of monthly financial statement analysis.

?  The ability to work in a fast pace environment.

?  Experience with Oracle Financials is a plus.

?  Broker Dealer and/or Futures Commissions Merchant experience a plus.

?  Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work without constant supervision.

?  Knowledge of multi-currency accounting a plus.About Hudson Financial Solutions
