Accounting Manager to $70k+ - Non-profit

Job Description: Prestigious and well-known company in Santa Monica is looking for an Accounting Manager. Salary 60-70K. Duties include overseeing the day-to-day corporate accounting function, including A/P, general accounting and payroll. Supervise accounting staff and coordinate workload to ensure deadlines are met. Manage the month end, quarter end and year end close processes. Review and approve the work performed by accounting staff and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Maintain the chart of accounts and general ledger. Ensure the proper booking of all transactions in the accounting system. Manage the fixed assets register and reconcile depreciation schedule. Assist staff in reconciling corporate balance sheet accounts monthly. Qualifications: 5+yrs accounting exp Ability to manage multiple tasks and varying personalities. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Knowledge of GAAP and IRS regulations.
Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a constantly changing environment. Proficiency in Excel and Word. Hands on exp with SUN systems accounting software is a plus. Excellent follow up and problem solving skills. Ability to tactfully communicate and address issues. Great Benefits!!
