Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY

The Professional Standards Manager will assist the Partner in Charge of Accounting Principles. This Manager will primarily be involved in assisting with consultations with the practice offices regarding complex accounting and financial reporting issues, developing content for firm publications on current accounting topics, and preparing for and instructing training presentations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Consult with practice offices on complex technical accounting and financial reporting issues.
-Write firm publications on current accounting topics.
-Develop and conduct training presentations.
-Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion.
-Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis.
-Perform other job-related duties as necessary.

Job Experience:
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a CPA.
-7+ years of public accounting experience.
-Specialized knowledge in share-based payments, variable interest entities, or revenue recognition.
-Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
-Proven experience at a managerial level.
-Excellent technical skills.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
