Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Services Representative (ASR) is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of assigned activities.  The ASR is responsible in maintaining the credit union?s financial records by preparing daily general ledger transactions, balancing, and posting ACH?s and Sharedrafts.  The ASR operates within the Back Office Support Services (BOSS) Team whose primary purpose is to provide support to front line co-workers and members directly or indirectly. Must be able to work both independently and on a team. Must also be able to analyze data and make decisions utilizing general accounting practices. Will also work on special projects or alternative duties as assigned. 

 Qualifications

Qualified applicants must present a professional appearance, have good credit, be bondable and must pass a background check and drug screen test.  Additional job qualifications are:

 A four-year degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or information systems. A bachelor?s degree is preferred. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong spreadsheet, word processing, and 10-key calculator utilizing appropriate hand placement of keys or keyboard.A strong working knowledge of general accounting practices.
