Accounting Services Procurement Analyst

The Accounting Services Procurement Analyst, a member of the Global Financial Infrastructure Commercial Group, will play a key role in the acquisition and procurement of third party services and related Information Technology (IT) services by performing consultant market analysis, contract preparation, financial analysis and overall information management.


Accountabilities Include:

Coordinate, collect, and manage market information related to third party providers of accounting services and IT project consultants.
Support contract negotiations by performing financial and economic analysis of potential negotiation positions taken by BP.
Craft contract language which reflects the results of negotiations.
Acquire information required in the management and negotiations of agreements.
Provide information to key BP stakeholders related to accounting services commercial activities.


Required Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Accounting Services Procurement Analyst applicants must have:

Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.
A minimum of three years of experience working with procuring third party accounting services.
A minimum of three years of experience with market analysis, contract preparation and financial analysis as it relates to accounting services procurement.
Experience working with IT project consultants/resources/activities as it relates to accounting services.
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline.
Intermediate experience/skills with MS Excel.
Intermediate experience/skills with MS PowerPoint.
The willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
The willingness and ability to relocate to or commute on a daily basis to Lisle, IL, without company assistance.


Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:

A MBA Degree.
Oil and gas industry experience.
