ASMO North Carolina, Inc. a Japanese Company has exciting career opportunities for the following position.  As a worldwide leader in the manufacture of DC motors for the automotive industry, we are seeking team players to join our company in Statesville, NC.

 JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and the financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.  Responsible for general ledger, monthly and yearly closing activities.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Gather and analyze information to make appropriate journal entries in order to produce monthly financial statements.

2. Continuously work to improve overall accounting functions.

3. Prepare other reports as necessary (such as accrued packaging costs).

4. Payroll transactions.

5. Petty cash, business trip expenses, and cash reconciliation.

6. Reconciliation between sales and cost of goods sold.

7. Sales and accounts receivable issues.

 

SCOPE OF JOB:

1. Requires involvement with internal departments and external resources.

2. Requires teamwork and participation in Employee Involvement and ISO/TS 16949.

3. Works in an open office environment with minimal supervision.

4. Requires work with highly confidential data.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Must have an associate?s degree in accounting/business or demonstrated equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.

2. Effectively communicates with all levels of the organization and with outside resources in both written and oral formats.

3. Proficient knowledge of data processing and personal computer skills.

 

ADDITIONAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Understand your job responsibilities to perform, monitor and control the process as it affects Quality and Environmental Impacts.

2. Follow all procedures and work instructions pertaining to your assignment and make recommendations to improve the process, as well as enhancements to the Environmental Management System.

3. Notify Management immediately when problems or non-conformances are detected.

4. Appropriately record problem or non-conformance to ensure corrective action and preventative measures are taken.

5. Assist in the problem solving process, corrective action and prevention activities.

6. Contain or stop the process as necessary to prevent non-conforming material from contaminating good material or negatively impacting the Environment.
