Accounting Specialist / Staff Accountant

Primary Responsibilities

Primary responsibility entails the preparation, processing and reconciliation of corporate accounts, fixed assets, and inter-company invoice processing.  Additional responsibilities involve reconciling, recording and reporting of intercompany transactions and preparation of monthly close binders which includes reconciliations, process controls and other backup support. Assist with the preparation of monthly reporting package which includes variance analysis.

 

 

Skills Profile

1. Degree in Accounting or equivalent industry experience.

2. Strong understanding of information technology and computer

applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and OGSYS.

3. Experience with all aspects of general accounting transactions.

4. Variance analysis.

5. Ability to interact and communicate with affiliates, vendors and

other Departments.

6.A proven ability to organize and to meet monthly deadlines and

goals.

7.Positive self-starter with ability to work well in a team

environment.

1. Interact with other department members and other

 departments within the company.

2. Interact and communicate with Corporate and other affiliates

 concerning inter-company transactions.

3. Interact with third parties concerning monthly invoicing and

 miscellaneous transactions.

 



Detailed Responsibilities

1.Prepare entries with appropriate supporting documents

 for approval.

2.Set up corporate fixed assets on date available for service.

3.Calculate gain/loss on sales and retirements of corporate

fixed assets.

4.Calculate corporate fixed assets DD&A.

5.Prepare quarterly fixed asset reports for Financial Reporting.

6.Assist with booking the monthly fixed asset depreciation.

7.Assist with the general and administrative reporting.

8.Processing of inter-company payable invoices.

9.Reconciling inter-company agings to the general ledger.

10. Assist with inter-company and affiliate company

 transactions and accruals.

11.Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial reporting

 package.

12. Variance analysis of balance sheet and income statement

account changes.

13. Coordinating the monthly account reconciliation review.

14. Coordinating the monthly journal entry binder.

15.Prepare and record journal entries for general and

administrative.

16. Perform monthly account reconciliations on assigned

accounts.

17. Prepare various schedules for Financial Reporting on a

monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

18. Perform special projects on an as needed basis.
