Tremendous opportunity in Tampa, Florida! Due to our clients success we are seeking an Accounting Manager to add to our clients management team. This position requires a well-organized, disciplined and personable individual with strong accounting skills who will thrive in a team-oriented, entrepreneurial environment. Manages a staff of up to 25 accounting professionals!


 

POSITION

The Accounting Manager reports to the Corporate Controller. The Accounting Manager will apply generally accepted accounting principles in order to oversee the general accounting function.

LOCATION: Tampa, FL

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements
Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll
Direct the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records
Direct and participate in cost analyses and rate studies
Prepare statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues
Establish system controls for new financial systems and develop procedures to improve existing systems
Coordinate preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting
Review financial statements with management personnel
Manage general accounting department


REQUIREMENTS

Qualified candidates will have 7 or more years of progressive experience within the accounting/finance field.
Familiar with generally accepted accounting principles, as well as the accounting field?s concepts, practices, and procedures
A/P and A/R Experience

 Ability to collect and research data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to all levels of management

 Experience with fixed assets
Able to work as a team player; contribute to building a positive team spirit; put success of the accounting department as a team above own interests; able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives
Able to complete goals and competencies of accounting department associates relative to the corporation?s performance management system
Inspire and motivate accounting department to reach department and individual goals
Bachelor?s degree in accounting or finance

 

Position pays $75,000-80,000 Base + Bonuses & Terrific benefits!
