Major Accounts Manager, Publisher Relations

 

Our Boston area client is looking for a Major Accounts Manager.

The Major Accounts Manager is responsible for achieving the Publisher Relations strategic objectives for their assigned accounts/territory. This includes:

 

? Meeting monthly and quarterly goals for increasing the inventory of titles and rights for targeted products.

? Managing all interactions with publishers including title and pricing changes in coordination with customer services.

? Developing, implementing, and updating Pro-active Strategic Account Management plans for each strategic account.

? Outline specific goals for increasing inventory, managing relationships with key publisher staff, and providing a high level of customer service.

? Provide internal support for infrastructure and operational projects, market research, and new product development.

 

Qualifications:

 

? Bachelor?s Degree

? 5-7 years of sales & account management experience (experience in the publishing industry a plus)

? Solid experience developing and delivering on account management plans

? Demonstrated success in building solid relationships and negotiating with all staff levels in a publishing organization, especially senior executives

? Excellent interpersonal and networking skills

? Well organized with the ability to multi task and prioritize to meet measurable objectives

? Strong written and oral communication with the ability to present to large audiences

? High level proficiency in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and previous experience working with contact management systems ? Travel approx 20%
