JOB DESCRIPTION

 

POSITION:   Accounting Administrator

LOCATION: Chatsworth, California

SALARY:  $14.00 - $16.00 hourly rate, based on qualifications

 

BASIC FUNCTIONS:Seeking an Accounting Administrator to work in the Finance Department, reporting to the Manager.  The ideal candidate must be detailed-oriented in nature, have strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with diverse personalities within several departments.  Other qualities include strong communication skills both written and verbal, the ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to posting of accounts receivables and payables.Make deposits.Responsible for collections of unpaid accounts.Communicate with customers and interact with employees from other departments, such as internal sales.Purchase orders and invoice matching.Act as the back-up to the Payroll Administrator when necessary.

 

REQUIREMENTS:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Accounting or related field or equivalant.Manufacturing background a plus.Payroll programs, such as ADP and HRIS systems a plus.Good organizational and interpersonal skills in addition to good verbal and written communications skills.Windows based software programs, such as Word, Excel are required.Ten key by touch is required.Manufacturing program such as MFG/Pro a plus.Detail oriented.
