Scope

The Newport Group has an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable Professional / Staff Accountant.  This position will be responsible for processing accounts payable for multiple locations, maintaining strong vendor relationships, processing employee expense reports, accurately coding expenses to the GL, organizing / filing AP documentation, and working with multiple departments related to purchase orders and budget request.  Additional duties include maintaining fixed asset ledger, corporate travel policy, and various other ad hock tasks and reporting.  Prior AP experience using Platinum software and or QuickBooks a plus.  Must have accounting degree with 1-2 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
