Accounts Payable Data Entry Clerk (Keyer)

 

Enter all types of invoices and purchase orders into the Oracle Accounts Payable Module and Employee Reimbursements into the Employee Expense Module, to record expenses and facilitate payments.

 

Responsibilities:

 
Enter invoice data into Oracle AP or Employee Expense Module.
Monitor data entry against source documents to ensure accuracy.
Verify batch totals via the verification program against the data entry edit reports to assure all invoices have been entered accurately.


Report errors as appropriate and necessary.
Provide period end accrual data as part of the financial closing process.
Cross train with other department members as directed.
Assist with internal and external service calls as needed.



Essential Functions:

 
Ability to process invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
Reasoning ability to determine proper handling/processing of documents.
Ability to verbally communicate with work team, department staff, and department management.
Computer aptitude required to research data base to complete assigned work.
Excellent 10-key and keyboard skills.
Availability to work overtime if required, including some Saturdays.



Experience and Education:

 
High school diploma or equivalent required.
One year of accounts payable experience required.
Adaptability and flexibility required.
Multi-taking ability a necessity, along with high volume processing ability.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 
Working knowledge of general office practices.
Knowledge of accounts payable processing. 
10-key experience required.
Excel experience required.
Oracle experience preferred.
Must be adaptable to change and be able to handle volume-based work load.
Very good verbal communication skills.
