Accounts Payable/ Payroll Supervisor

 

Responsibilities Include:Coordinating and supervising the daily Accounts Payable and Payroll activities of the College.Supervise the AP Accounting Assistants and Payroll Administrator and provide training for these staff.Ensure timely and accurate processing of all vendor invoices, travel reimbursement, and payroll.Perform cash disbursement analysis and projections, reconcile and clean-up all associated balance sheet accountsProcess 1099's and pension and compliance activities.Perform financial analysis on  Payroll and/or AP functions.Assist the Assistant Director of Finance with special projects as required.Provides support to accounting staff as needed.

Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 3-5 years AP/Payroll supervisory experience with at least 3-5 years experience with an enterprise accounting software system (e.g. SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or PeopleSoft). Strong spread sheet (Excel) and word processing (Word) skills are required.Must have excellent follow-up and communication skills.A working knowledge of applicable GAAP rules is required.
