Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, responsible for the timely and accurately processing of accounts payable documents and adherence to accounts payable and company policies. Requires familiarity with, and experience in, accounting office practices as well as knowledge of accounts payable procedures. This position is part of the Canadian Accounts Payable Team.

Job Functions:
1. Processes accounts payable documents.

2. Responds to inquiries via phone/email/written correspondence from internal and external customers.

3. Keys in corrections and invoices into accounting systems.

4. Resolves purchase order, receipt, and invoice exceptions for assigned accounts.

5. Performs detailed analysis of current and outstanding items on vendor statements such as invoices, chargeback, credit memos/debit memos, and POD''''s.

6. Pursues collections from vendors in debit balance in accordance with company policy.

7. Maintains customer relationships.


Requirements:
1. HS diploma or equivalent

2. 2 to 5 years previous related experience in accounting setting with emphasis in high volume processing environment

3. Good understanding of basic accounting principles
4. Excellent customer service and communication skills
5. Analytical and problem resolution skills
6. Intermediate computer skills with general office software and experience with accounting systems
7. Normal office environment requiring ability to organize and prioritize workload, communicate effectively, sit for extended periods of time, use standard office equipment, and review and proof documents
8. Ability to speak French '''' helpful but not required.
