Accounts Payable Supervisor (02356)

We are a developer and provider of high-performance broadband customer-premises networking equipment and carrier-class software for the remote management of broadband services and equipment. We also develop and provide broadband-enabled services and remote-management software for enterprises' technical support, help desks, and personal computers.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

? Provide leadership to AP Specialist(s)

? Recommend and support on going process improvement within the AP cycle

? Evaluate current reimbursement policies & procedures and make recommendations for improvement

? Verify vendor accounts; reconcile monthly statements and related transactions

? Work closely with vendors and internal departments to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner

? Audit and process expense reports/receipts according to company policy and IRS regulations

? Reconcile AP related balance sheet accounts

? Process heavy volume of invoice payments, purchase orders, contracts and check requests

? Ensure proper general ledger coding, documentation and approvals, and compliance with company procedures, state, and federal regulations.

? Import expense report batches to the General Ledger; ensure proper GL coding

? Prepare invoices for weekly check run and/or wire payments as directed

? Work with auditors on AP related requests

? Maintain W9 forms; prepare 1099?s and sales tax returns

? Prepare month-end AP accrual report and various adhoc reports as needed

? Maintain Accounts Payable files

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

? Associate?s degree in Accounting or Finance

? Minimum of seven years experience in Accounts Payables

? Intermediate-level in Microsoft Excel, Access and Word

? Experience working in a public, preferably in the telecommunications industry

? This position may require overtime during peak times, including but not limited to: year-end, quarter-end, and month-end.

? Extensive knowledge of the AP and expense report concepts and practices

? Must be able to process heavy volume, from 400 to 500 invoices per week.

? Must be able to ?manage up? by keeping manager regularly informed on the status of workload, status of issues, and progress of related issue resolution.

? Must be willing to go the extra mile to complete all assignments given.
