We are a rapidly growing manufacturer of high-end sport fishing boats, with an extensive dealer network and numerous innovation awards.  We are transitioning to an integrated accounting and manufacturing software package and are looking for the candidate that can help with the transition.

Reports to:  CFO. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

- Fosters and maintains a high-level of customer service through timely responsiveness to customer needs and complaints. 

- Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports.

- Types memos, letters and inputs data; maintains selected sections of company database; and, creates and updates accounting policies and procedures. 

-Responsible for preparing accounts payable register and related reports.

- Maintains accounting files including invoices, packing lists, proof of deliveries, department files, subscriptions, checks paid and etc.

- Prints checks and is responsible for their delivery. 

- Be first point of contact for general ledger and accounts payable inquiries.

- Occasional manual labor including packing, unpacking and moving boxes.

- May at times perform general administrative duties including filing, faxing, copying, and answering the telephone. 

- Other responsibilities as necessary.

Job Requirements:

 

- At least three years of progressive work experience in the accounting function.

- Knowledge of accounting software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- Bachelors? degree in Accounting or a similar field preferred, but not required.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Must be proactive and take initiative. 

- Strong organization and time management skills required.

- Strict attention to detail is essential.
