Accounts Receiveable Team Lead

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

*  Supervises, coordinates, provides leadership and reviews the work of the department associates.

*  Evaluates and recommends changes in methods and procedures.

*  Ensures departmental service levels are met on a daily basis.

*  Interacts with other department managers, team leaders and associates.

*  Creates, prepares and reviews reports concerning departmental activities.

*  Estimates associate needs and schedules and assigns work to meet completion dates.

*  Applies organizational policies and assures adherence to departmental procedures.

*  Interviews and recommends candidates for hiring and termination.

*  Conducts performance evaluations and salary reviews for department associates.

*  Aides in the training of new and temporary associates within the department.

*  Assists with the more involved situations, by guiding the associate toward the correct decision or speaking with the customer directly.

*  Handles ?special? accounts as assigned by the Financial Operations Manager as well as speak with other associates in reference to customer related issues.

*  Holds departmental meeting on a regular basis.

*  Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC?s mission.

Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

 EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

q Bachelor?s degree in accounting or business administration or the equivalent is required.

Minimum of two years of commercial credit/collections and/or accounts receivable experience is required.SKILLS:

q Knowledge of accounting procedure and on line accounts receivable system is required.

q Strong ability to deal effectively with people and displays leadership qualities.

q Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Good time management and organizational skills are required.
