Acct. Operations Mgr.

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Departments. Ensures compliance with Jordan's established accounting policies and procedures as well as all applicable federal and state laws.
Interviews, hires and evaluates and motivates accounting personnel. Maintains proper accounting controls and communicate policies and procedures company-wide. Addresses operational issues related to outside vendors responsible for such areas as check guarantee services. Ensures timely payment of vendor invoices and maintains accurate records and control reports. Coordinates the month-end cutoff procedures for Accounts Payable. Initiates and verifies letter of credit and/or wire transfers of funds.


Requirements:

The qualified candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 5-8 years previous retail accounting experience; 4-7 years recent supervisory experience. Strong Microsoft Office skills are required as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with General Electric Retail Systems (GERS) is preferred but not required.
